Lansata oficial pe data de 29.06.2010 in localitatea Erlangen, Germania, Siemens Vectron reprezinta o locomotiva multi-sistem care poate efectua tractiune atat la trenuri de marfa cat si de calatori, principala diferenta si unica dupa parerea mea fata de Eurosprinter este dupa designul schimbat al carcasei (seamana cu un GM) multitudinea de sisteme de siguranta si control punctual al vitezei cu care aceasta locomotiva este echipata in dotarea standard.
